GulfWire-owned content

Except for third-party, government, licensed, and user-owned material, GulfWire LLC owns or controls the copyrightable original expression embodied in its software code, original text, graphics, artwork, photographs owned by GulfWire, original interface artwork/design elements, and original selection, coordination, and arrangement of GulfWire-created content. This does not claim copyright ownership in ideas, features, functionality, methods, algorithms, systems, or general layouts themselves.

Except as permitted by applicable law or expressly authorized in writing by GulfWire LLC, copying, reproducing, scraping, republishing, redistributing, or commercially exploiting GulfWire-owned content without written permission is prohibited. This restriction does not limit fair use or other rights that cannot lawfully be restricted.

Government data and third-party rights

GulfWire LLC does not claim ownership of NOAA, NASA, or other government data; licensed third-party data; map data; or content owned by users or other third parties. Those materials remain subject to their applicable source terms, licenses, attribution requirements, and public-domain status. Displaying or processing them through GulfWire does not transfer their ownership to GulfWire LLC.

Any rights in GulfWire's original selection, arrangement, or presentation do not extend to ownership of the underlying third-party or government materials.

User-submitted content

Users retain ownership of their photos, reports, comments, and other submitted material. GulfWire LLC receives only the service-related license described in the Terms of Use. Users must have the right to submit and license the material they upload.
